Is there a free site I can visit to find out the value of old baseball, football and basketball trading cards?
I have a large number of cards dated from early 60's up until late 80's. I need to sell for my Son's college tuition ASAP.

- www.dacardworld.com They claim to "have it all..."
- Try this... http://www.beckett.com/default.osi
- www.beckett.com This is the best website, but remember, just because it says that your baseball card is worth $30, what really counts is what someone else is willing to pay you for it.
- I'm not sure if Beckett.com is free. Occasionally you can check on A card (as a way of getting you to subscribe). The quickest way to get a broader overview, is to head on to a HUGE bookstore with an extensive magazine section. There, you can purchase: (1) A Beckett Baseball Card Price Guide. This Guide has all the cards every printed, even no-name, "ordinary" ballplayers. (2) Beckett Football Card Price Guide (3) Beckett Basketball Card Price Guide CALL AHEAD OF TIME TO CONFIRM THEY HAVE THE LATEST COPY ON THEIR SHELVES. (1) 2006 for baseball (2) 2005/06 for football (3) 2005/06 for basketball LASTLY -- Do those cards belong to you? If not, please make sure it's OK w/ the actual owner. FINALLY -- Most of your common cards will not fetch much from anyone. The best way to sell them is to package them as a "LOT", and, for example, if the combined value of your common cards is $100 (don't scream -- I said "common"), then start the bidding at $39.99. And set the shipping and handling at a higher price. Be prepared to lose $30-$50 on these lots. The goal is to get rid of them. Obviously, that's not going to cover tuition. Hopefully, your rare and limited cards are going to go for much more. Depending on who the player is, and the year, obviously we're looking at $1000-plus. Hope you do well.
