How to start designing an upper deck passenger boarding bridge for the Airbus 380?

- BE AN ENGINEER
- First, learn all about the A380's ground handling requirements (printed at airbus.com) From these you'll be able to tell the height of the entry doors etc. Secondly, take a look at current Air bridges (airliners.net, http://www.fmctechnologies.com/AirportEquipmentServices.aspx) Thirdly, sketch out a design, make sure to account for accessibility etc. I'd suggest writing FMC technologies, as they are the innovators in the field, building overwing air bridges for rear loading of aircraft, glass airbridges etc.
