Baseball Cards Price

Baseball card value after 19 years?

Hey everyone, I have some un-opened packs of baseball cards my mom got for me when I was just born. Anyone have any ideas on how much they would be worth? I can't really give any more details because theyre boxed up under the house right now.

  1. 1991 baseball cards generally won't garner too much interest at the moment. As of now, I'd say that cards would have to be from before the '70s to get a collectors attention. There may be, however, a collector who is specifically looking for newer cards or the 1991 set. For now, I'd say don't open them, they'll likely be worth more in the future. Some people might definitely argue in another direction.
  2. I dunno ,but you could google the players and the cards to see if there would be any rarities in between, else keep them and give them to your great-grandchildren, by then they'll prolly be worth something
  3. if you are talking about the 40 or 50 cent packs that contain 7 to 10 cards, probably no more than $3 to $5 dollars per depending on the possibility that one of the cards in your pack might be a player who had a super season. Now for the bad news. Steroids has completely trashed the value of cards for the sluggers; Bonds, Sosa, McGuire, even Alex Rodriquez. Pull your card packs out of storage, and buy a copy of the collector card monthly magazine to check for current prices. Keep in mind, by the 1990's the baseball card collection craze was running full bore. Nothing about them can be legitimately called 'rare' these days.
