what is the difference between konami and upper deck for yugioh cards?

im trying to buy yugioh cards but im not sure if upper deck is fake or not

1. Konami currently owns the rights to Yugioh; Upper Deck cards are older, but both are legitimate. Upper Deck and Konami had a contract that was supposed to expire in 2010, and for several years, Upper Deck made cards and organized events. In 2008, however, Konami filed to reclaim the rights for all Yugioh items. Upper Deck sued for the labor and money wasted for terminating the contract two years early, but I do not believe it was successful, or else it did not hold Konami back too much.
2. did u know The Bandai version of Dark Magician has 2000 DEF, whereas the Konami version card has 2100 DEF.
