What is a decent cologne?

Hi, I'm looking for a decent cologne. Hopefully it'll be something with a strong scent that really sticks out. I do like musky smells, but whatever you ladies prefer is what I'll go with. I've tried Calvin Klein obsession (strong, but smelled too thick and clogged my nose) Nautica White Sail (love the smell, but I could poor the whole bottle on me and no one would smell it) and 4 stetsons that came in a trial package (Stetson fresh, original ,rich suede and black, which the girl next to me in bio was happy to tell me smelled like her grandfather >.<). So yes, for age I'm a high school student, racial background is italian/caucasian, IDK if you need that info to choose a cologne lol. One thing I did noticed I liked in a store was Lacoste Essential, and it seemed pretty strong on me, IDK. Anyways, please, suggestions! Thanks for all the answers guys. I'll try to go to a mall or somewhere to try these all out and choose a best. I do remember liking he Ralph Lauren one. And lawl @ bend over

5. If you like strong yet soft decent colonge, then i know the answer. Try Polo Ralph Lauren Blue. It is very very musky yet it delivers the 'masculine' effects towards other people..never seen anyone failed wearing it! good luck! btw PRL is suitable for students too as my bro is using it and he is still in high school? btw he dated one of the hottest girls in school ha ha sorry that was out of the topic! :)
