How do I find the value of a football/baseball/basketball card?

My husband lost his job a couple of months ago and he is having trouble finding work. He has lots of mint condition football/baseball/basketball cards.He even has some mint condition Pop Warner cards of some now retired players. We have 3 kids to feed so we are trying to figure out how to find the value of the cards and where to sell them.
