Baseball Cards Price

How is the sports cards market these days? I inherited about 10,000 cards...?

Complete sets of cards from the early 90's, baseball, football, hockey. Also have large sets of trading cards from the Terminator 2 movie, G.I. Joe cards, Garbage Pail Kids, etc. Most of the them are from 91'-94' and many appear to be complete sets (500-700 cards per set). I've never collected cards of any kind before. Can these be of any value? Would it be worth my time to have them appraised? Anything I should know that I'm NOT asking? Thank you!
