How to tell if a card is a rookie?
i have a lot of baseball cards that have one year of stats for a player it has its 1990 stats and under that it has its ML stats which are the same. But when i look down at the copyright it says the card was made in 1991. Is this a rookie card or like a remake of the rookie or what? And also when searching on a card pricing guide would i look under the year 1990 or 1991?

- A card will have the previous years' stats on it. Your card would be from 1991, or the players' second year. Thus, it is NOT a rookie card. Whatever year the copyright says it was made in is correct. Look in the year 1991.
- a rookie card should have minor league stats, no professional, or some professional but not enough to constitute a full season
- Say you have a 1990 Donruss baseball card of Roger Clemens. On the back you'll see his stats from his rookie year on up 1989. The last year of stats will be 89 but the card will be copyrighted at 1990 therefore you'll need to look in the pricing guide under 1990 Donruss. Usually always take the last year of stats and add a year and that'll tell you the year the card is to be looked up in the price guide. As far as rookie cards go most rookie cards are marked on the front saying something like rated rookie or rookie of the year somewhere on the card it'll say rookie.
