Would this be considered wealthy or rich?
myself: 14 year old boy, private school education since i was 4, same apllies to my brother and sister, (10 and 16 respectively), ipod touches or laptops for birthdays, clothes primarily calvin klein, ralph lauren, gorgio armani (is that how u spell it?), dad is a corporate lawyer, flying to London from melbourne business class next month? Is this wealthy, well off, or ostentaciously rich? No, I can't say I live in Philadelphia, I live in Melbourne. A large Australian city. To the guy who said, and I quote ' How much is a private school education if you can't spell, anyway' Firstly, where I'm moving to it's about 38k (dads company pays), and furthermore, who the fu*k could be buggered using spell checker on a sunday night at 11.32pm? No - i mean all of us, everyone inthe family is going biz class.

- I'm about the same, except I've had education before 4, I did daycare. If you lived here in Philly (which you might, IDK) you would be considered normal in our neighborhood.
- there is no way to know with the information you have provided. What matters is the amount invested, saved, not being used. For all you know they are living paycheck to paycheck to keep you in your Ralph Laurens. Money is only money, its what you do as a person that matters. Can I ask why you want to know this anyway?
- no , i would say middle class i could buy a laptop, i pod, and your wardrobe with a couple paychecks so don't brag so much , i am just a normal blue collar guy. technically you have nothing, you are a child. you mooch off your dad like most 14 year olds , not much pride in that. get a job.
- To me, its not considered wealthy or rich. Anybody could jump up and get the clothes you get. I've got 3 laptops, and an ipod too. Big deal. Your Dad's flying out to London for his job, so what. Every summer, I fly out to my Dad's house, but that doesn't make me rich or wealthy. I could get 456,00 a month, but that still doesn't mean that I have to go to a private school. Anyways, public schools are better than private, and there almost just the same. You need to remember that its not good to boast or brag about what you have because you could lose everything in a jiffy. What kind of private school doesn't teach their students to spell? You are far from rich.
- It should be considered SPOILED. Based entirely on the information you gave, your family could be BURIED in debt, or very well off. "who the fu*k could be buggered using spell checker on a sunday night at 11.32pm?" ANYONE that is NOT a spoiled brat.
- Your Dad is earning well and makes his siblings comfortable with lavish gifts and attention including education. Well that is very thoughtful for him to spend his hard earned income on you all but it should be to certain limitations. Since He is a corporate Lawyer - he must have saved simultaneously for the future and for emergent needs of the family members. That would be termed prudent. Wealthy is a term used when one has funds received from inheritances. Well off is a term normally used for individuals whose earning capacity is well over a normal revenue bread earner, knows and appreciates the value of money, and spends the same with logic sense and necessity. YOU and your brother, sister fall in the category of a 'well off' family.
