Baseball Cards Price

Beckett baseball card price guide clarification help?

Was just looking through a Beckett price guide and they list cards with two columns, a lower and higher value. Does anyone know what card conditions those correspond to? Is the higher value basically for NM condition card for example? Thanks....

  1. It depends on what year the card is from. For example, a 1987 Topps Barry Bonds rc has a book value of $12. If the card was in mint condition, it is actually worth 150% of the HI column value. So it would be worth $18. The beckett is really a waste though. Sure it gives you a rough idea of what might be popular or hold a higher value, but you cant sell cards for anything close to what the "book value" is.
