2009 BECKETT Baseball Cards Price Guide....?....?

This may sound a little strange, but I cannot find in this book what the 2 price columns stand for!? Is the first column for Mint? Near Mint? EX? And what is the second price column for...VG???? Please help me figure this out because I have an interest in collecting cards. Thanks!!!?!

1. this question really got me thinking i knew that ex meant excellent and but then i went to google and serched card conditioning guide and i still could not find it but then i thought and i am pretty sure that it means Very Good im not garenteeing it but i am pretty sure that is correct.
