Which of the following 2007 Baseball Hobby Boxes should I ask for, for Christmas?

I want a hobby box for christmas that I can use the commons as trade bait and hopefully pull some nice high book value cards for myself... 2007 Topps Hobby 2007 Topps Heritage Hobby 2007 Allen and Ginter Hobby 2007 Upper Deck Hobby Which one should I get and why? What should I expect to get from most these boxes? I picked these because I know people that collect these sets so i can use the commons as trade bait like i said earlier... HELP

  2. Topps: you would need at least three boxes to get a full spectrum of the set: Series' 1 and 2 and Updates and Highlights. If you want to start building a set with a massive amount of possible cards, this is next to the biggest on your list. The design has been panned - black borders will show wear quickly. But I love the way Topps base set contains the players' complete career stats. Heitage: Perhaps my favorite on the list this uses a nice retro design - the year escapes me presently - blasting of color with short prints throughout that are fun to collect. Allen and Ginter was hugely popular this year and last - nice design, but I don't like how the mini cards in the windows don't stay centered. If I had been keeping my eyes open earlier this year I would have pre-ordered a case or half case of A&G at reduced pricing. But I passed on the whole thing. It seems like a very fun set - look into the short prints and insert sets in A&G and I think you might find your winner here. Upper Deck: bad collation from UD usually, but the design was real nice this year. It has like 1,000 cards in the set - it's massive, and the player stats are complete. This is an inexpensive set, as is the Topps base set.
