What's the best way to find the book value of your baseball cards?
I was cleaning out my closet and found a bunch of old baseball, basketball, football and hockey cards I used to collect, and I want to find out its book value. Is there a website? I remember as a kid there was a magazine that you'd have to buy to look it up. Does it still work that way?

- Ebay is a good place to find market value for your cards You can find the prices for completed ebay auctions for cards like yours by following the instructions on this page: http://www.footballcardgallery.com/prices/. You can also look at price guides published by Beckett or Krause Publications. When you look at prices in a price guide, keep in mind that those are estimated retail prices, the prices a dealer would charge.
- Book price is almost worthless especially in this market. Almost no item would sell close to book price. But the magazine, you are referring to is Beckett. Most pricing sites are not free. But the best way I look to look for market value is tracking ebay auction and sales. Another free pricing tool is http://prices.sportslizard.com/
