- get a beckett card magazine. It will tell you.
- try beckett.com or tuffstuff.com
- probably about a buck. Cards from the base sets are pretty much worth nothing from the 80s. There is no unique interest in that year. Beckett will say the card is around $1. In reality, someone might give you a quarter. Here's the current ebay page for that card. You can see that the shipping and handling costs more than the card itself. http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?from=R40&_trksid=m37&satitle=nolan+ryan+1989+topps&category0=
- as i tell everyone who asks these questions and i see that a bunch of people recommend beckett. dont wast your money on the guide they are almost always out dated even if you have the most recent copy. its almost impossible for them to keep it updated. the best way to find a value is like was mentioned about in checking ebay. completed ebay sales are the best way to judge the value. And even people at Beckett have already stated this is how they help base value for the most part. so why should you pay money when you can do it for free. by the way the whole 700+ card set of 1989 topps is only worth about $10. most baseball cards produced between 1987 and the early 90's were so mass produced that they are not worth to much.
- The card is worth whatever someone will pay for it. Search for the card on ebay. Most likely it wont sell for more than a quarter. Late 80's cards were too mass produced.
