Baseball Card values?
I was cleaning out the basement and found a bunch of cards. I was wondering if they had any value or where I could go online to find out. I'm not really holding my breath. There are 3 "complete sets" (792 cards, etc.) of Topps baseball cards for the years '86,'88 and '89. I also found a Wally Joyner Donruss Diamond Kings card. Thanks!

- Those sets are worth 5-15 bucks a piece. Maybe slightly more, but you couldn't get more than 5 bucks for them if you tried to sell them. That mid to late 80s stuff was mass produced, they made way too much of it, so even the biggest stars of those sets are only worth a buck, and since it's a buyer's market, if you sold them separately, you couldn't get a quarter for them. There are no "big" cards from any of those set, (meaning no high priced rookie cards) so your best bet is to just hold on to them and pass them on to your kids someday. I realize most of the people in yahoo answers just guess so all the buffoons who will tell you 100s of dollars, which I see in here everyday, don't have a clue what they're talking about (they need to change this to "yahoo guesses"). Just go on ebay and type in "topps 1989 complete baseball set" and see what people are getting for it. And the Joyner card isn't worth a nickel.
- go to your local library, in the magazine section, find Becketts guide for baseball cards & look them up. They have prices for complete sets, & individual cards
