Baseball Cards Price

I collected between 7,000 to 10,000 baseball cards during the early 80's to late 90's.How do I price them?

I have boxes of cards. I want to find out if any of them are valuable. Whats the best way or what should I do to find out how valuable some of these cards are. I have a feeling some of them are probably valuable.

  1. I just bought 50,000 from the 80's on ebay for $45....hope it helps
  2. They have pricing books for baseball cards, I'd definitely buy one if you're interested in pricing them.
  3. Pull the stars and rookies. Check Beckett to get an idea and price it at 3/4 book, but plan on getting 1/2 book. It ALL depends on condition, though. Cards in Mint condition will fetch more than those that have dinged corners or are off-center.
  4. You could check the Becketts Baseball Guide to see what value each of them have, otherwise go on e-bay and see what you can sell them for.
  5. forget the 80s cards. They were overproduced and are worth a dime a dozen. Saying it is half-half i would have to say 2500 to 3000 dollars. What i would do would be to sell them in parts and over time.
  6. You can't price them on-line. Your best bet is to buy a Beckett Price guide. These are the most accurate price guides on the market.
  7. I don't think they are old enough to be worth anything yet. Also the cards years ago became so popular for collectors because there weren't that many of them in circulation and so many parents used to throw out their kids cards because they thought they were junk. Try to find a collectable shop in your town and just ask them.
  8. You could get big bucks if you seel the cards in bundles. You figure each of the cards are $1 - 50 cents. Just imangine the money.
  9. Most the cards that are dated up to 1987 were single printed. The years after that were mass produced. The best year I feel would be 1983 Topps, you have many rookies in that set. If you don't have access to a Beckett, go to ebay and search for one famous player. Remember the year of the card is 1 year more than the last year listed. Have fun!
