Baseball Cards Price

Are these baseball cards on this site good price?

I need to know from the perspective of someone that collects cards if you were missing 2 or 3 cards from your sets would you buy any of the cards on this ebay store? I do not mean just the 1991 reprint set im talkin about all the cards on this site in general. Thanks

  1. I'd say no. They're selling 1987 commons (which are worth about a nickle, if that) for a dollar apiece. Guys like Jay Tibbs, Eric King, and Keith Atherton will never be worth a buck. But if you only need 2 or 3 cards and can't find them anywhere else then go ahead and buy them.
  2. It is VERY overpriced, you should be able to call a local dealer and get those cards for no more then 25 cents each and most shops would give them to you for free. I have cmplete factory sets of 87 topps that I only sell for $5 so at $1 a piece it would cost you like $700 for the set. But that being said if you cant find them locally this seller is selling high but if you cant find them what choice do you have and he/she is offering a service buy keeping them in is store for people who are only short a few.
  3. the other coments are are right. don't do it they're a rip off. go to a local shop.
  4. There's really no business sense in completing sets from the late 80s-early 90s, since you will never get any money out of the sets anyway. Nobody wants that stuff. As a general rule, when completing a set that is worth something, it is OK to overpay somewhat for the last couple of cards if you need to in order to finish the job. But you want to hold off on overpaying until the very end. The best way to build sets is to buy a starter lot dirt cheap, fill that lot with reasonably-priced cards from a local dealer, and if you are still missing a couple, head out on Ebay.
  5. Ok here is the deal most of the cards on ebay are over priced on the "buy it now" auctions. If you were to do the " buy it now " auctions i would look for a store with shipping discounts. Also most of the cards are worth about .08 to .15 If you are looking to buy some great cards i would search " dutch auction " on ebay . You are promised no junk and you will not recieve junk! I have ordered around 30 times from dutch auctions and have made around 10X more money buying and reselling dutch auction cards! Let me give you the site of a great dutch auction seller! Check out my source! Also message the seller and give him the sport you would like and you will get all the great cards from the sport or sport(s)
