- probably because it would be a pain for a website to update old cards' and all the new cards' prices on a regular basis and be held liable for those prices given. Go to your local card shop and pick up a Beckett Baseball Card monthly, they have card prices all the back to the early 30's for most major card brands. If your looking for specialty card prices, check out a price guide called "tuff Stuff". You can also look on Ebay to get a general idea of what your card (s) are running. Hope this helps!
- You can,try going to beckett..com or just use yahoo and type in prices for baseball cards and you should get mutiple sites.
- The values change constantly. There is a lot of data to maintain (player names and card numbers) and there are too many sets! This would have been an easier task 30 years ago when there were two brands and each had under 700 cards. Now it would be 10's of thousands of cards each year. Also... pricing is subjective. If I had my own guide though I could artificially increase the "value" of the cards I owned just to help them sell. hmmm an idea is coming...
