To become rich & successful, do you think a female should be good looking besides smart? KEEP READING! ! I'm curious about this. I am a young female, studious & smart. Currently, I don't know what I would like to do career-wise: it may be psychology or my real dream would be to work as a Photographer for David Yurman, Calvin Klein, or The Gap. My question is: what really helps to become successful; is it knowing the right people? Does looking beautiful (being fit & wearing flattering clothes) really help? I look almost like Penelope Cruz. I am full Italian, and people say that I look very Italian/European.
This messenger bag wont make me look like a douche, rich boy right? The bag would be used for school (college) Like the bag is just Calvin Klein. Its not like its coach or Louis Vulton. It only cost about $120 so it really wasn't that expensive. I mean coach bags cost like over $300. http://i368.photobucket.com/albums/oo125/chansaet/CK3-1.jpg Also put in account the brands of clothing I usually wear: Express, A&F, Gap, Banana Republic, Lacoste, Guess, Polo Ralph Lauren J. Crew and Hollister.
Which character from 'The clique' series would I be? I'm just wondering cuz I am soooooo so bored! How do I get my friend Robbie to buy me a new pair of underwear after he left track marks in some he borrowed? Robbie passed out at my place last weekend cause he was too drunk to go home. No problem. He woke up the next day and asked if he could borrow a pair of my boxers so he didn't have to go commando. I'm a nice guy, so I said sure. Now, I'm not rich - but underwear is definitely one of my splurges. You never know who could end up seeing your drawers, so I opt for the nicer brands - 2xist, Calvin Klein, Polo, etc. Anyway, I lent him a pretty nice pair that came back a little too brown for comfort. I want him to buy me a new pair, but how do I bring it up?

anyone who would like to read and comment on my English essay? You Can or Can’t Judge a Book By It’s Cover What do people do when they know their friend real personality? They will make a big decision whether keep or not relation. This happens to almost everyone, because of they judge a book by it’s cover. Some people will not judge a person or thing by appearance. Everything change over time how people look and think about others. Yes, you can judge a book by it’s cover. I believe everyone judge a person by their look such as wear, say and act. In Indonesia, when people wear a top brand clothes Calvin Klein shirt, Hugo Boss jeans and bunch of jewelry; they think about rich or high class person because of people who has money can buy a high quality and top products. On the other hand, if someone see that people wear a ugly clothes and flip flop, they will think about poor and middle or low class. Furthermore, people can judge by their attitude. When someone meet a serious person, they may think that person is mad although that person may not mad. Most people judge someone else by their look when they are first meet. We can say that almost happen in everyone, and it is test your instinct. For instance, a taxi driver told me that you think I will take you somewhere else, because of he did not know the way to my home then I decided to gave him directions. I was aware that he wanted to do bad thing to me because of I saw his face so serious, and he had been drunk. No, you can’t judge a book by its cover. People always look outside the box when they want to point something that someone else has it. People who distinguish between either nationality and ethnicity could have the wrong perspective. People always think I am Korean, Japanese or Chinese, but I am not. Then, I tell them I am Indonesian and they are surprised. You may need to take a closer look at something or someone. You shouldn’t always look outside his or her cover, instead you should look at what is inside his or her cover. People always think that a disability is a person’s weakness, but don't you think that they maybe have a wonderful skill which normal people can't do or don’t have. Nevertheless, people think that rappers are bad and cruel people who act how they want to and don't care about what others think. I think that they like to express themselves and be creative with style and music. For instance, LiL Wayne lived in a poor neighborhood; he grew up as a rapper musician. He wrote and sang his own lyrics by himself and he became one of the most well-known rappers in the world who earns millions of dollars from his songs. Yes and no, you can and can not judge people by it’s cover. Glamour, fabulous and attractive are the way people will get excited to be apart of business otherwise the inside is poor, but people look at outside are perfect. For example, a new restaurant which it is expensive and glamour by look. People who eat there are rich, but after a couple week since open, people do not like to eat there because of poor service and bad taste of foods. People always judge others by it’s cover before they do something. People who has tattoos they think about as bad person. My opinion, people who has tattoos want to be artistic or perform themselves as an unique idea which they put on his body that has meaning for them. On the other hand, people say you can not judge a book by it’s cover, but people still do it. If people know what the real life happen when they make a judgment to someone else, they will not judge others by it’s cover anymore. In conclusion, you should not judge a person by it’s cover. Before you do that you may look at yourself, and they probably judge you from your hidden secret. You make a huge decision if you judge other from outside look, but when you know what the inside is, you will disappointed. Obviously, people make a judgment by look at outside his or her appearance because of they have a lack of trust each others. I would not want them to judge me, and I never judge them. The value of something is not always obvious from what we see on surface, so we should not judgments until we know the exact what it is from inside. email qral_hdr@yahoo.com thank a lot.
Is buying and using fake brand names... really that wrong? I could run to the mall and get myself some Ray Bans for 200 dollars. Or I could get some fake ones that are really high quality for 20 dollars. Why would I spend 180 bucks more so that some rich corporation fatcats can earn even more money? A decent genuine Rolex would cost you 15K. A fake one of near-parallel quality (swap out the gold, perhaps) would only cost others a fraction of the price. Calvin Klein, Armani, Zara, whatever, you name it. None of these corporations are "doing badly". Quality is out of the question. Anybody who shops frequently in China/India know that counterfeits only get better in quality. The whole copyright thing is a reason not to shop for counterfeits, but that doesn't really move me. Marc Jacobs, or any any other big brand name can design the shittiest pieces of clothing, and they'd still sell like hotcakes. Corporations win, we don't. I'm by no means rich. Mostly cause I'm a student. I saved $150 to get myself some Ray Ban Wayfarers, just to have my cousin return from China and gift me a pair of fake ones I can't honestly tell much of a dramatic difference. Thus I returned my real Ray Bans, and used the money to buy a pair of Audio Technica headphones. I for one have been thinking about this for a long time. In a society where the rich people look "good", and the poor people look "not-so-good", where rich people can afford the most "fashionable" clothing, while "poor" people get hand-me-downs and whatever they can find for $20 or less, convince me why I should respect Intellectual property or fashion corporations when they obviously don't respect the common consumer. That's only for the big expensive brands. I still <3 Billabong, Quiksilver and all those other trendier brands which offer fashion for it's actual price.
Liberal Mainstream Media & FOX...........? Does anybody else agree with the following statement? FOX only SEEMS to lean to the right because we are so used to getting ALL of our news from the far left that when we hear just straight news, without a liberal spin, we don't recognize it as being just straight news. If you ever watch FOX, they bash both sides, and if there's a conservative on the show it's ALWAYS balanced with a liberal. You're just not used to seeing democrats getting bashed from the media so you assume it's biased towards conservatives. If you bring up Bill O'Reilly....he is NOT a news caster, he is a political commentator just like Glenn Beck, William F. Buckley, Jr., Tucker Carlson , James Carville, Alan Colmes , Lou Dobbs, Maureen Dowd, Nancy Grace, Sean Hannity, Bob Herbert, Ezra Klein, William Kristol, Paul Krugman, Rachel Maddow, Chris Matthews, Keith Olbermann, Frank Rich, William Safire, Joe Scarborough, Mark Steyn, and Gore Vidal.
Read this and coment it.? 1. USA government is not there to serve COMMON US - CITIZENS (that is majority of the people) but to serve CORPORATE INTERESTS, that is to private interests of few very very evil and rich people. (It is not just a USA problem, but problem of almost all neoliberal - capitalism based countries of the world) 2. The governments are only secret departments of Multi National Corporations, and it's only purpose is to protect those private interests (Usualy that's very well hidden by propaganda such as; ''We go to Iraq to help those people to set new democracy''). 3. Governments (countries) doesn't have any real power and it doesn't serve to its citizens, theirs only purpose is to secure (provide) interests of MULTI NATIONAL CORPORATIONS such as; banks, oil industry, weapon industry, tobacco industry , pharmaceutical industry, software industry. They don't give a dam about little, common people. Be aware, in theirs eyes the worth of oil is much much much greater than worth of blood of millions of poor soldiers and common people. Politicians just like that, change others blood for oil. 4. Politicians (even presidents & prime ministers) are in fact only servants of CORPORATIONS (owned by few very deviant & greed people) and they doesn't have any real power as same as puppets on the string. You don't believe, than look at their donation lists, you'll figure out that politicians can't do s*h*i*t without BLOODY CORPORAL MONEY, SO THEY'RE ALL BOUGHT AND RESPONSIBLE ONLY TO CORPORATION OWNERS. 5. So, states, governments, politicians have to LISTEN AND TO COMPLY TO ALL CORPORATIONS REQUESTS. Why is that so dangerous? There is handful of evidences that corporations stared a great deal of wars just to rise their profits, look just at war in Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq.... In Vietnam, US army loosed a great deal of all kind of equipment, logistics was very very very expensive (hmm, very similar to war in Iraq). ...what do you think, who profits over that fact? (Ofcourse, all kind of industries, from weapon industry, food industry, to oil industry) When corporate people want to rise their profits, they don't give dam about common people, they use Government in order to achieve their own interests....and small people dying and suffer for tham, NOT FOR COUNTRY (!) AS PROPAGANDA WANTS YOU TO BELIEVE (infact, the country is only rich's people firm). Now, you'll ask why than there are Countries? That's very good question. During past centuries, rich people always made the same mistake; THEY WERE VERY OBVIOUSLY EVIL, GREED & DEVIANT, SO THEY MADE COMMON PEOPLE VERY EASLY AS THEIRS ENEMIES. From time to time, common people organised revolutions, rebelions of all of kinds, sometime even kill Kings, Lords, aristocrates... the French revolution is great e.g. So after centuries aristocrates learned: NOT TO BE VERY OBVIOUSLY YOUR ENEMIE, BUT TO MAKE YOU THINK THE COUNTRY IS WORKING IN YOUR BEST INTEREST, AND TO FEEL CORPORATIONS ARE NOT A THREAT TO ANYONE. ALSO, WE (THE COMMON PEOPLE) DON'T KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THE MOST OWNERS OF CORPORATIONS, that is just for theirs protection from the masses (common people). SO THEY (owners of corporations & politicians) ALWAYS TRY TO RISE YOUR PATRIOTISM IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE THEIR OWN INTERESTS AND TO KEEP YOU PEACEFUL AND IGNORANT, SO NOT DANGEROUS FOR THAM. Try to read books of these authors: 1. Naomi Klein 2. William Engdahl 3. Noam Chomsky Source(s): *** grano salis, my college, a great deal of books, great experience, the war I lived trough, US- foreign politics in my region....

Why do people think that you cannot wear a certain brand based upon race? I have to say that looking around on yahoo answers I ran across a question where it asked "since when do black people wear Hollister" and "what kind of clothes do black people wear" and someone replied "the stolen kind". Mind you, I am a intelligent black young lady. Reading these things upset me to know that so many people have placed a "restriction" upon what black people wear and what we don't. Honestly, I had a phase where I was obsessed with Hollister. I wore nothing but Hollister. People started to make assumptions that I was "rich" or "my mother was rich" because I wore it. It's very sad for people to view Hollister as an expensive designer brand. I love fashion brands such as lovely Michael Kors shoes...I'm waiting for my Christian Louboutin heels to arrive in the mail.... I would love a chic mini dress that I saw that is Marc by Marc Jacobs for Christmas... I have absolutely fallen in love with this cashmere sweater that is designed by Rick Owens that I would love to add to my collection of winter clothes...Not to mention the Prada riding boots that I will own when I graduate from medical school. But am I not allowed to wear or will I be shunned for choosing to wear "designer labels" because I am BLACK???? I am just astonished at the things I read and saw on this site. And fyi for those of you who think that Hollister is "expensive" or only "worthy for the wealthy" then you should expand your fashion horizons far more. And for those who think that it is a "preppy" brand .... Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Lacoste are PREPPY brands. Why are people put into boxes, if you will, when it comes to the type of clothes they can wear or that are more "appropriate" for them based on race??
what do you think about what I have so far in my novel? Chapter One: Something I do with my friends, Tess and Jessica, after school every Friday is go to the mall and hit up all the shops. After the tenth Friday, we became regulars and everyone basically knows us and our names. It’s like we run the place. No—it’s not because my Daddy owns Lombardi Mall. That’s not it at all. The workers there don’t need to know I’m Murphy Lombardi, daughter of Richard Lombardi, owner of Lombardi Mall. In fact, if I used that as some sort of way to get a discount from one of the stores, the employee that gave me the discount and I would both get in trouble if he were ever to find out. It was one of his “Top Rules”. Not that it really mattered, though, because I was my Daddy’s only daughter and his Number One Girl. If I asked for money, of course I would get it because he’d never deny me of it. I’d use my sweetest smile or sweetest frown and widened my sapphire eyes for a cute, puppy look that worked so well. It had that effect on almost everyone I gave that expression to. I’m not even lying. It’s how I get my way. I know what you’re probably thinking, Oh, she’s such a snobby girl. Well, yes, if you use rich and popular as you definition of snobby then I would be, but it doesn’t mean I’m an evil person. I’m just a girl with high standards from a wealthy family who gets what she wants. I don’t see anything wrong with that. I’m just happy and I won’t try to drag down my great reputation down by socializing with the people that are lower than me. That’s why I hang-out with the other rich, popular people. Take for instance, Tess and Jessica. They are my best friends. Tess’s parents run The Mauve Spot which is like the best restaurant in town. Everyone goes there; it’s always packed. Jessica’s mom is an attorney who makes nearly a quarter million a year. She even has a commercial on the local channels. I would say that they are worthy to be let into my group. Also, they have a super-awesome sense of fashion. From Marc Jacobs to Gucci to Prada to Ralph Lauren to Calvin Klein—we own it all and everything in between and outside those lines. We parked as close to the entrance as we could because it would’ve hurt to walk all that way in these heels. Of course Tess suggested it. She is like… the smart one in our group. You could tell because she wears glasses. I told her she should get contact lenses, but apparently her eyes aren’t ready for them. Whatever. “So… Where should we stop by first?” I asked as Jessica parked her Volvo in the spot. “I think Teresa Rossi. Definitely Teresa Rossi,” suggested Tess who was seated behind me in the backseat. This surprised me. Since when did we shop there? “Since when do we shop there?” I turned my neck so fast to look at her, I thought it would break. I could see her roll her eyes even under those glasses. She swept a lock of her auburn hair behind her ear. “Well… It’s Spring and I want to get some dresses there because they’re cute!” “Poor people shop there…” I murmured. I didn’t want to sound rude, but it was true! The highest priced item there was a one hundred and twenty dollar dress, and it wasn’t even a “good” one. “Good” meaning from the top fashion designers! I refuse to buy something without getting the best! Why settle for less than the best? “Pfft. Wow, Murphy…” I heard Jessica scoff. She always did that to me. It always makes me mad. “Wow what?” “I don’t think it matters who shops there... I think it matters what’s there.” “And it’s poor people clothes there!” She scoffed again. It was really irritating me! What did I say that was so bad? “Whatever. Let’s go, anyway. I hear the dresses around Spring time are actually cute. Maybe we should check it out. I saw Joan Andrews wearing one of them and she looked adorable.” Tess looked at me like she was disappointed. How lame. I love Tess, but she cannot pull off my look. “Oh. Alright, but we stop by Bloomingdale’s first.” They both nodded in agreement and we got out of the car. Whatdaya think about it? I'm not writing it to be original or get published... I'm doing it for fun and am writing a novel that I would enjoy reading and writing. I'm 12... 13 in two days and I want to finish when I'm 14. lol....... you don't know what the subject is... beginning. and maybe it's boring to you because it's girly stuff. lol. :D. but i wasnt asking for a critique of the storyline.... just for the writing. yeah. i hate Murphy and Jessica, but I love Tess and Jonah (who will appear soon...) Jonah is her love interest... just ask if you want a description of him because if you don't... then I won't. :P wow. matthew, that was kinda rude. geez. well, i'm just gonna go with the thing that annoys everyone... you're just jealous. XD nah. i'm just joking... but i hate how the plot is judged even though i'm only a little into it... I mean, come on... Seriously. You don't even know it yet. Immaturity, huh? I think I smell some immaturity in your judgements. Wow. Assume what you like, but you can't simply judge my character for what I have written here. What I gather, Matthew H, is that you are incapable of giving advice in a respectful matter. How rude. Saying it's "boring" and "poor" among other things. Yes; you are stating your opinion, but do you really have to be an ass? Seriously.
Advice?? Opinions?? Suggestions?? Rough draft... beginning of novel? Silver Chains and Gold Charms By Cassandra Wright Chapter One: Something I do with my friends, Tess and Jessica, after school every Friday is go to the mall and hit up all the shops. I've always had trouble with the tense changes... but it's because it sounds awkward to me if I don't change them...
To the conquerors go the spoils: Why is American Imperialism Centre of the 21st century Axis of Evil ? There are several reasons for US belligerence and here are a few of the main ones: Firstly the Capitalist Profit system under which the world suffers is a chaotic and brutal method to live by. So from that which is so primitive and base we see a predictable fruit of unbridled aggression and the oppression of the majority of Humanity to prop up the privileged power elite. It is essential for a system based on class distinction to not only exploit the masses but ensure that they remain in their place; under-foot and unrepresented. Therefore the international ruling class have since their formation repressed any society (including their own) or group which exhibited any sign of workers democratic representation (Socialism). They destabilise any nation that dares to step out of line, fund brutal dictatorships to overthrow and replace democratically elected presidents, then form cordial relationships with the victorious henchmen: Pinochet in Chile, Osama bin Laden in Afghanistan, Saddam Hussein in Iraq, etc., etc. A second reason distinctive for Iraq are its reserves of Oil, which America sees as essential components of its future (environmentally friendly?) economy, even if they do belong to a far away people. The establishment of local military bases to guard and ensure these oil reserves are available to America and its closest allies in the coming period, (as opposed to other superpowers) was the real, covert agenda beneath its pretext of 'liberation' or 'eradication of WMDs'. Last but not least War is a very profitable enterprise, as can be seen from the rich tapestry of corporations and tax-free subsidiaries with their snouts in the bloody trough of the war profiteer. Often the very politicians involved in creating the wars are making rich picking off the deaths of their countrymen who elected them, before dying in conflict. Former 'Secretary of Defence' Dick Cheney is a shameless example. He slid like a well oiled eel from his 89 - 93 government position with Bush senior into a $44 million post with Haliburton over the next 5 years, before returning to the dynastic appointment of 'Vice President' for the 'United States' ensuring military logistics were privatised and that lucrative reconstruction contracts were ring-fenced for Haliburton so his personal assets in the corporation sprang from $241,498 to a value of over $8 million. Audio presentation by Marxist A Woods on Socialism: http://www.socialist.net/what-is-capitalism-what-is-socialism.htm Film, by Naomi Klein: http: //www.channel4.com/programmes/the-shock-doctrine All new points responded to eventually ============================== * Elle * I don't believe real social change is possible without a fundamental change in the consciousness of working class Americans; taking charge of their destiny, realising that the Capitalist ruling class are their historical enemies and sweeping them aside. * Big bro's * Quite right. Because the accumulation of profit is the only imperative, the profit system comes with wastage of commodities on a vast and perverse scale. * Mike N * Its quite impossible to incorporate both aspects of fundamentally opposing economic systems within one state. just as oil and water do not mix nor do socialism and capitalism. The only reason so many (esp. Americans) labour under this false notion is because various political pundits use the appellation of socialism as an epithetical, derogatory description for the ills of their own systems failures in its various manifestations. Whether its unbridled or reformed it is still essentially Capitalist. * Sheepy * You don't understand the basic nature of Socialism. Follow the Marxist link. As for human nature, it is whatever we make of it.

Why are SF Police Officers being silenced by the Justice Department about Obama's murdering mentor, Ayers? Aaron Klein writes: "The Obama Justice Department instructed San Francisco police officials not to comment after top law enforcement officers there signed a letter accusing Weathermen radical Bill Ayers and his wife, Bernardine Dohrn, of being directly behind the 1970 bombing of San Francisco's police station that killed one sergeant and wounded nine others. 'There are irrefutable and compelling reasons to believe that Bill Ayers and his wife Bernardine Dohr are largely responsible for the bombing of Park Police Station,' the officers stated in a [letter released last week]' The letter called for the U.S. to bring 'those responsible for the murder of Sgt. Brian McDonnell and the injuries to other officers to the justice they have so long eluded.' Now the San Francisco Chronicle is reporting the police group members who signed the letter received calls from the Justice Department and a local police chief telling them to remain silent. " Obama fires up mob anger to cause death threats to private citizens, calls his buds at ACORN (now rich from the stimulus cash) to get a bus of thugs up to Connecticut to harass those private citizens, and now he has buddy Eric Holder's minions at Justice harass and attempt to silence local police officers who want a real investigation into the murders of their fellows -- allegedly murdered by Ayers and Dohrn -- Obama's mentors when they were in the terrorist group the Weathermen. Help pleaseeeeeeeeee? I have a huge problem, my best friend is really really sensitive, and she cares a lot about what people think about her. She's always asking me how she looks and stuff like that, I've gotten used to her ways but it rubs off on other people, and most people think she's a stuck up, rude, snobby, bitch. Well, she doesn't know this, but I do. Last summer, at this soccer camp we both went to, I was talking to one of my friends, and she said "Do you like *Sarah*? (not the actual name of my friend) Well, I don't. I think she's a rude snobby bitch, who always rubs it in other people's faces how rich she is and what kind of awesome clothes she buys. (Which she does, I hate to admit. She brags about a $200 Calvin Klein dress she got from her mom and how she shops at Ralph Lauren, and stuff like that). One day I was over at her house, and she asked me if I knew anyone that didn't like her (I was about to say, about the whole school! Which is true, but I didn't want to hurt her feelings.) so, I said no. I feel bad about lying to my friend, but I just couldn't bring myself to say it, which I knew would make her depressed all over again (she's been depressed a few times and it's not very cool, she's sometimes suicidal.) Should I tell her what my friend said about her or just hold it in? :/
What Did You Do For Your Sweet Sixteen? Or What Do You Plan To? This is an odd topic for me. Ever since I was a little girl, I had dreamed of the day that I turned sixteen. I would be dressed in a princess-like gown, rushing down the red-carpeted stairs of some mansion; doves flying all around me and people surrounding the area and clapping at my presence. I would be then ushered away by two incredibly handsome "men" in tuxedos that you would only find in a Calvin Klein add and into a limousine. I would dance the night away at some fancy club and then return home to find a shiny new car sitting in the driveway with a huge red bow on it. Well, as you can probably already tell... it never turned out that way. In fact, if I recall, I stayed at home that night by myself. Oh sorry, I forgot-- a few nights before I saw a small concert with one of my friends (not on my actual birthdate). And that was it. So what about you? Am I the only one that had dreams of partying as the rich and famous, only to sit at home and eat the night away? What did YOU do?
Did anyone question MIT economist Jonathan Gruber's support for Obamacare? Was he getting paid to support it? http://reason.com/blog/2010/01/08/take-the-money-and-talk-top-he Here's one way to get rich off of ObamaCare: Take nearly $400,000 from the administration's Health and Human Services Department to consult on health care reform, don't bother to mention this to anyone, and then offer up your opinions as a prominent analyst and advocate for the administration's health care plans. According to federal disclosure forms, starting in March of 2009, MIT economist Jonathan Gruber took $392,000 in fees from HHS to consult on "the estimated changes in health insurance coverage and associated costs and impacts to the government under alternative specifications of health system reform." At the same time, he served as one of the most prominent academic analysts and advocates for health care reform, providing putatively unbiased interviews and analysis to Ezra Klein at The Washington Post, Jonathan Cohn at The New Republic, and Ron Brownstein at The Atlantic (among others) without disclosing his consulting fees.
Who's the most Radical Far Left appointment in the Obama Administration? “Personnel is policy.” Almost everywhere you look in the Obama administration you can find appointees whose beliefs are clearly outside the mainstream. Several of his most high level appointees, chief among them Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, have been exposed as having failed to pay the taxes they owed at the time these should have paid them. Then there is Attorney General Eric Holder, who prior to his appointment may have been best known for helping fugitive financier Marc Rich obtain a pardon in the waning days of the Clinton administration. Since coming into office, however, he shocked the nation when, during a presentation to mark Black History month, he called America a “nation of cowards” on the issue of race. Writer Joe Klein, who is generally sympathetic to the liberal point of view, denounced Holder for his remarks, saying they provided “absolutely no acknowledgement of the incredible progress that has been made over the last 40 or 50 years.” Janet Napolitano, who leads the Department of Homeland Security, similarly came under fire after her department released a report on so-called rise of right-wing extremism in America that lumped returning veterans and anti-abortion activists into the same group as white power organizations and Timothy McVeigh, who helped mastermind the 1995 bombing of the Murrah federal building in Oklahoma City. Embarrassed, she met with veterans groups in Washington on Friday and gave what an American Legion representative characterized as a “heartfelt” apology. White House Science Advisor Dr. John P. Holdren is a noted alarmist where the idea of global catastrophes is concerned. In 1971, he predicted that “some form of eco-catastrophe, if not thermonuclear war, seems almost certain to overtake us before the end of the century.” That same year Holdren also claimed that “population control, the redirection of technology, the transition from open to closed resource cycles, the equitable distribution of opportunity, and the ingredients of prosperity must all be accomplished if there is to be a future worth living.” More recently, in 2006, Holdren suggested that global sea levels could rise by 13 feet by the end of this century. The 2007 Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s Fourth Assessment Report suggests a potential sea level rise of just 13 inches. Koh is, as columnist Andy McCarthy has written, “a radical trans-nationalist.” His view is that the United States is not, in essence, an independent nation with a natural right to govern its own national security. Rather Koh’s view is this country should be governed by a “trans-national jurisprudence” that “assumes America’s political and economic interdependence with other nations operating within the international legal system.” In Koh’s world, U.S. law should be subordinate to some kind of international code. Then there is Rosa Brooks, who has been tapped to be a key adviser to the undersecretary of defense for policy. A former columnist with The Los Angeles Times, Brooks once compared the work product of Bush’s Office of Legal Counsel to “the so-called Big Lie theory of political propaganda, articulated most infamously by Adolf Hitler.” In 2007, according to various sources, she characterized Al Qaeda as “little more than an obscure group of extremist thugs, well financed and intermittently lethal but relatively limited in their global and regional political pull.” And she once wrote “George W. Bush and Dick Cheney shouldn’t be treated like criminals who deserve punishment. They should be treated like psychotics who need treatment…. Because th
People say i'm a very demanding person, is that bad? By this i feel like i always have to have the best for their most part, i only use high end designers fragrances, wear nice clothes from Calvin Klein and my friends say i'm spoiled. I mean my parents have always given me everything thing like every few years they send me to Colombia for two months during the summer to see my family, i got my first designer fragrance at 7 and this past Christmas i got a brand new laptop, along with clothes and a digital camera. I mean i'm not rich but i was brought up a only child until a turned 13, when my brother was born, is that bad?
What is a decent cologne? Hi, I'm looking for a decent cologne. Hopefully it'll be something with a strong scent that really sticks out. I do like musky smells, but whatever you ladies prefer is what I'll go with. I've tried Calvin Klein obsession (strong, but smelled too thick and clogged my nose) Nautica White Sail (love the smell, but I could poor the whole bottle on me and no one would smell it) and 4 stetsons that came in a trial package (Stetson fresh, original ,rich suede and black, which the girl next to me in bio was happy to tell me smelled like her grandfather >.<). So yes, for age I'm a high school student, racial background is italian/caucasian, IDK if you need that info to choose a cologne lol. One thing I did noticed I liked in a store was Lacoste Essential, and it seemed pretty strong on me, IDK. Anyways, please, suggestions! Thanks for all the answers guys. I'll try to go to a mall or somewhere to try these all out and choose a best. I do remember liking he Ralph Lauren one. And lawl @ bend over

If we can help ourselves with stupid buildings and architecture and money to set up movies then WHY can't we help the africans? we obviously can, but we're NOT everyone rich person, every celebrity bugs me. all that money they spend on their houses and dresses and I heard David Becham getting a new pair of Calvin Klein pants everday? More or less I don't know but what is going to happen to those poor people? The human race is just SICK!
Carb jetting for a 98 RMX 250.? Need advice on jetting my Suzuki 98 RMX 250. I have a Boyesen rad valve, and fmf performance pipe with spark arrester. Everything else is stock. I've been running 40:1 mix, with the aircleaner cover removed to get it running smooth. Right now I've got a 170 main, 60 slow, stock needle, 3rd clip, and 1 1/2 turns on the air screw. Boyesen says go with a 162, but my dealer can't find one. It's running rich, and will foul every once and a while. I have a BR9EIX plug in now, and it does pretty good with that. Does any one know where I might find a 162 main jet, or the specs on the hole size so I can ream out my 155 jet (which does not run well when installed). Also, I just went through the entire carb, and cleaned out thoroughly, all passages are clean, and it's a stock carb, a Klein.
No blood for oil? Why not? When is the last time you have seen a Native American? Most black people you see are here because their ancestors were enslaved and their work used to make other people rich. I do not like the idea of killing other people to take their resources but it is nothing new. So I ask again. Are you willing to starve when your neighbor has an abundance of bread or will you take it? We all want to be goody goody and we all say we are so enlightened we could not drive a car that is fueled by blood but be honest with yourself. Is blood money and blood oil really any different than anything else we have in America? How many kids died from exhaustion stitching your Calvin Klein jeans? How many Latin American folks died of sunstroke picking your salmonella infected tomatoes? If I came to your house right now and told you I killed 30,000 foreigners and this act would allow us to have $1.00 a gallon gas, most of you would be lined up to buy my fuel. Is this not true? Are you sure?

Look at this answer- is it ok to term Sikh community as k*****? Should such termonology be allowed here? A girl asked this very genuine question (http://in.answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Ah0WirSge_ftor1b86K8Fe6QHQx.;_ylv=3?qid=20081011152407AAXWPb2&show=7#profile-info-GzBkproMaa)and some very thoughtful answers are given even by some Sikhs too. However, look at this answer ( 'oops') and the person claims to be Sikh! : I am a Sikh and I hate it when people of my community try to get oversmart. ( If you mean Sikhs when you say Punjabis ) But instead of crying on yahoo answers why dont you hit back at them ? Ill give you some anmmunition. Attack 1 - You are not a Sikh , you are a pretender. If a person like you can claim to be a sikh, evey Muslim can claim to be a sikh ( this will really bug them )........ basis for attack 1 - Because almost every Sikh breaks his religious laws. Of the 5 K’s the Kesh ( hair and beard, eyebrows, body hair ) is shorn by a massive ( maybe 99 %, yes 99 % ) majority of the young Sikhs, weather they are in the UK or the fields of Punjab . Even the Sikhs who keep the hair will reject 3 other physical symbols. For convenience sake - without batting an eyelid. Ask a religious Sikh, - if you take so much trouble over maintaining your hair at the right length, do you keep ‘the Kacha’ ( large undergarment / drawers ) or do you wear a Calvein Klein brand of underwear. Do you keep ‘the Kanga’ ( comb ) of the right length or only a miniature Kanga – for convenience sake ? The ‘Kara’ is convenient so almost everyone ( including I ) wear it. Attack 2 - You are not a brave community ( this will bug them even more ) basis for attack 2 - – bravery is a title the White man gave Sikhs. The White man has colonized the whole world only by going to a native land, and identifying pockets of idiots in some areas of that native land whom he could use to fight for him. The Americans had their Muslim Idiots – The Afghans - against the Russians, The British had their Hindu idiots – the Gurkhas . The British identified Sikh Idiots – your great community of lions and assess, who were so happy with the title brave that they went to a country France, to fight for another country – England, against a 3rd country Germany. Sure – you fought the wars against Pakistan. But that is because Pakistan is at Punjabs doorstep and it came naturally to you to defend Punjab. If Pakistan was 1000 km away from Punjab, how many Sikhs would be in the army ? Attack 3 - You are all Khotas ( donkeys )(???????????????????) Basis for attack 3 - The problem here is that unlike Bengalis, Maharashtrians and South Indians, the majority of Punjabis ( Sikhs, Hindus and Muslims ) do not have hobbies. They cannot pass their time with arts, music, literature etc. For rich Punjabis at least – the main hobby is socializing, drinking, cards and gossiping within their group. Community matters become very important. This makes you talk like this Attack 4 - You are losers who have only one identity or achievment - Sikhism Basis for attack 4 - Sikhs who have very little achievements to their credit, try to attract attention to themselves and pump up their fragile egos by this display of religious identity ( again – only Kesh and Kara ) by saying – “look I am a true blue Sikh, I am better than you. You cannot achieve this.” 12 hours ago First, he should himself answer those questions. I think he is the one he mentioned in his attack no. 3. Here it is worth noting that there is no mention of Sikhs in the question. I am a Hindu. However, mine friends are Sikhs too. However, here it is not a question of a particular community. I think such terminology should not be allowed on this Forum. What do you say? Therefore, it is that way. Now you are talking about Muslims. Can you tell me what this is to do with the question? You have some political agenda against Sikhs and Muslims and using these answers for propaganda purpose. That is your 'hidden' agenda. No problem to me. However, why to use slang? Actually, you are same 'type' of people you mentioned in your answer. By the way, why do not you answer your own questions? Do you have the guts? Let me repeat these questions for you: 1) You are not a Sikh, you are a pretender? 2) You are coward? 3) You are a khota (and that is not an insult for you)? 4) You are looser?
Is this the change you were seeking if you voted for Obama? April 24th, 2009 9:48 PM Eastern PETER ROFF — THE FIRST 100 DAYS: An Administration Filled With Far-Left Extremists By Peter Roff Fellow, Institue for Liberty/Former Senior Political Writer, United Press International Longtime conservative leader Morton Blackwell, a Reagan administration alumni and once the youngest Goldwater delegate at the GOP convention, is perhaps best know as the originator of the phrase “Personnel is policy.” Blackwell’s observation speaks a great truth about American government. Since no one man or woman can do it all, alone, we have followed the French in the development of bureaucratic systems that allow for power and authority to be delegated to subordinates who are responsible, on a daily basis, for the administration of public policy. It is these people, even more than the president, who directly impact the way policies are developed and carried out. Almost everywhere you look in the Obama administration you can find appointees whose beliefs are clearly outside the mainstream. The people chosen to fill positions within an administration, no matter how minor those positions might be, matter; they matter because they are being handed the tools with which to make real decisions that have an effect on the American people, the American economy, our legal system, our national defense and just about any other issue you can name on a day-to-day basis. Throughout the 2008 presidential campaign, Barack Obama presented himself to the American people as a change-oriented centrist, slightly to the left of the middle of the road. The way he has governed over his first 100 days, however, shows him to be anything but the image he projected, particularly where many of his appointments are concerned. And it is these appointments that will determine the direction of policy in his administration over the next four years. Some of the names and some of the circumstances are already familiar. Obama may have a Cabinet that, to borrow a phrase from Bill Clinton, “looks like America.” But they certainly don’t pay taxes like the rest of us. Embarrassed, she met with veterans groups in Washington on Friday and gave what an American Legion representative characterized as a “heartfelt” apology. But it’s not just the apples at the top of the barrel that are reason to be suspicious that a leftward drift is underway. There are plenty of secondary appointments, not all of which are subject to the Senate’s advice and consent, which make up the new administration’s gallery of liberal rogues. Another Obama appointee clearly outside the mainstream of American thought and values is Harold Koh, the Yale Law School dean whom Obama tapped be the State Department’s legal adviser. Koh is, as columnist Andy McCarthy has written, “a radical trans-nationalist.” His view is that the United States is not, in essence, an independent nation with a natural right to govern its own
Will McCain raise your taxes ? Douglas Holtz-Eakin, a former Director of the Congressional Budget Office and current chief McCain economic advisor tells Fortune columnist Matt Miller in a forthcoming book, The Tyranny of Dead Ideas, that the next President is simply going to have to raise taxes. Joe Klein has an advance copy of the book and the details: “If you do nothing on the spending side, you’re going to have to raise taxes whether you’re a Republican, a Democrat or a Martian,” he tells Miller…and then he immediately makes it clear that the “spending side” part of the argument is nothing more than a political fig-leaf. “It’s arithmetic.” Federal revenue today is 18.8 percent of GDP and federal spending is 20 percent. Holtz-Eakin observes that “the pressure are there” to lift spending [on entitlement programs, mostly] and taxes to 23 or 24 percent of GDP by around 2020, and to as much as 27 percent if health costs remain out of control. Miller does the arithmetic: that’s an annual tax hike of $550 to $700 billion, well beyond the range of any spending cuts that McCain has or might propose. (Those vaunted earmarks cost about $20 billion per year.) At least Obama's tax plan is clear. Cut taxes for 80% of the population. Raise taxes for the richest 20 % (those making 250,000 or more) http://www.time-blog.com/swampland/2008/09/the_mccain_tax_increasescontin.html
anyone who would like to read and comment on my English essay? The value of something is not always obvious from what we see on surface, so we should not judgments until we know the exact what it is from inside. email qral_hdr@yahoo.com thank a lot. anyone wants to corret it?

Tell us what you think through a robust online polling tool. www.bullitics.com Full Post Posted Friday, February 15, 2008 10:11 AM Obama's Tipping Point? Not Yet. Andrew Romano New Supporter: Obama with Lewis. Photo: John Amis/AP. On Wednesday I wrote that "depending how March 4 shakes out, [the Potomac Primary] results--and the likely Obama wins in Wisconsin and Hawaii--may help determine the Democratic nominee by the ides of March." My thinking went like this: After eight (and maybe 10 straight wins), the Illinois senator will lead at that point by more than 100 pledged delegates--but it won't be enough to reach magic number (2,025) by the end of primary season in June. Looking ahead, the 400 uncommitted Democratic superdelegates--the only people with the power to put either Clinton or Obama over the top--will have a choice: 1) prolong the contest through the convention, ensuring a messy, divisive battle involving Florida, Michigan and back room wheeling and dealing or 2) move en masse to the "people's choice" and get busy uniting the party for November. But is Obama's tipping point coming sooner than even I expected? Yesterday afternoon, the New York Times (among others) reported that Rep. John Lewis, an elder statesman from the civil rights era and one of Hillary Clinton’s most prominent black supporters, is suddenly planning to cast his vote as a superdelegate for Obama in" hopes of preventing a fight at the Democratic convention." “In recent days, there is a sense of movement and a sense of spirit,” said Lewis. “Something is happening in America, and people are prepared and ready to make that great leap.” Hungry for news on a slow day, the media responded with typical breathlessness. "Floodgates could open," wrote Time's Mark Halperin, a reliable peddler of Beltway CW. "If Lewis breaks away, take whatever you thought Clinton’s chances of winning the nomination before and divide that number by as much as two — those would be the odds of her winning now." Whoa, nelly. Not so fast. Sure, Lewis's "defection" is significant--but in a limited sense. For one thing, it's not really a defection; instead, Lewis is still endorsing Clinton (for the time being) but promising to cast his superdelegate vote at the convention with his Atlanta-area district, which voted three-to-one for Obama--if it comes to that. Lewis's confusing stance symbolizes a very specific political challenge facing black elected superdelegates--and black elected superdelegates only. If Obama maintains his lead among pledged delegates, members of the Congressional Black Caucus who have endorsed Clinton will face enormous pressure to switch sides. Like Lewis, many represent districts where Obama earned 85 to 90 percent support among black voters--meaning to defy their constituents and cast a vote that lots of people would see as stealing the election from the first black president would be tantamount to political suicide. Advertisement Over the past few weeks, there's been a slow drift of superdelegate support from Clinton to Obama. Not counting Lewis, Obama has gained 12 superdelegates since Feb. 5, while Clinton has lost a net of three. But until we start seeing a greater number of pols making the leap to Obama without such political pressure, I think it's a bit early to say the floodgates have opened. It may happen; it may not. But any potential tipping point is still a ways away. Featured, Barack Obama Permalink: http://www.blog.newsweek.com/blogs/stumper/archive/2008/02/15/obama-s-tipping-point-not-yet.aspx Sphere It! Offense Taken In this campaign, there is no room for remarks of any sort on any subject. - By Michael Kinsley Commentsscschmidt wrote: Michael Kinsley's article, "Offense Taken" is way off base. The example that he cited are based on relationships, yes- whether they be a cousin or a hairdresser. However, the GREAT BIG DIFFERENCE is that when someone goes out of their way to verbally expound the degree of influence that someone has on you as well as when you tout this person as a role model or "mentor" - well now this is VERY dofferent. By doing this, you indeed are connecting yourself to this person in every way since you indicated that their beliefs were used to mentor and foster your own beliefs. When you look up to someone as a mentor or role model, you are believing in the basic principles of theirs. Obama's open statements to th ereverend being his spiritual mentor and best friend makes his beliefs as suspect as the reverend's. In addition, Obama can now denounce all he wants to but how could he be a parishioner for 17 years and listen to these types of statements if as Obama NOW states are "outrageous"? I think that we need to realy questiob Obama's truthfullness or question his judgement. In either case, the country should seriously reconsider any support for such a candidate. It is frightening that Obama's paltform really emphasizes "change" and his real agenda would seem to indicate other. We need to change our support to Senator Clinton and assure her success in November. 3/17/2008 9:05:12 PM Recommend (0) Report Abuse Discussion Policy LISANROY wrote: amemended comments of dr kamal roy dt 3,17,2008 LISANROY wrote: COMmENTS OF REV DR KAMAL KARNA Karuna ROY A REPUBLICAN CANIDATE AND HoPEFUL TO BE the NOMINEE OF GOP IN SCHEDULED ELECTION FOr NOV 4, 2008, IF BE HELD WITHOUT any COURT ORDER OF INJUNCTION to postpone corrpt election as PRAYED BY DR kamal k k ROY ALLEGING SKY_HIGH AND CLOUD_DARK CORRUPTIONS BY DEFENDANTS IN CIVIL ACTIONS FILED IN 20+ U S D COURT actions in 20+ different JURISDICTIONS with allegations against defendants for negligence to enforce laws not TO PUSH OUT ELECTORAL CONTESTANTS FROM WEAKER COMMUNITIES OF HAVE-nots 3/17/2008 9:04:05 PM 3/19/2008 9:47:32 PM Recommend (0) Report Abuse Discussion Policy rayacop wrote: Denice1 What you have to understand is what Dr. King and Malcom X came to understand before they both were assassinated, one by radical whites and the other by equally radical blacks, the root evil and problems in American transcend race and are more socio-economic in nature, just reflect to what when on in this country before the enslavement of blacks.
