I was cleaning out my closet and found a bunch of old baseball, basketball, football and hockey cards I used to collect, and I want to find out its book value. Is there a website? I remember as a kid there was a magazine that you'd have to buy to look it up. Does it still work that way?

How do I sell my baseball cards? I have so many baseball, football, hockey, and basketball cards that I don't know how to sell. They are all mostly early 90's cards, mostly Upper Deck brand. I probably have somewhere between 40,000 and 100,000 cards. Many are factory sealed complete sets, some are unopened packs, some are in 800 or 3200 count shoe box style, those that were worth at least a quarter in 1996 are in card pages, those that were worth 3-4 dollars or more are in individual card holders. I have a 1984 Topps John Elway in near perfect condition, I have Barry Bonds rookies, I have so many more that I don't hardly know what I have. The problem I have is that I no longer am up on who are the sought after cards. All I want to do is get rid of them and will take half Beckett book value just to get rid of them. I just have no idea how to get rid of them but in a way that I can get at least 20-50% of their book values. So, my question is what is the best way to sell and best way to list what I have?
How much for my baseball cards? My husband wants to sell his old baseball cards from the '59, '60 and '61. He has over 600. He has looked up the values of them in the Standard Catalog of Baseball Cards from our library. The book value adds up to over $5,000. He took the more valuable ones to a local sports card shop and the guy said the market is down now. The offer he gave us sounds terribly low to us. We realize we won't get book value for these cards, but what do you think would be a fair percentage to get right now? My husband has priced them all according to book value. How much of a hit will he have to take? they're in very good to excellent condition.
What is the best way to find a value of cards and comic books? I have a collection of basketball, baseball and football cards and a bunch of comic books that would like to find out the value for. I've heard of Beckett for cards but I'm not sure if that's the best way. I have no idea about comic books. Any help would be appreciated!
how do I find out how much my baseball cards are and my autograph is? I have a book of baseball cards I have had since I was a kid and was curious about the value of them. and I also have an autographed C.D. of britney spears when she first debuted on the scene. I'm not a fan of her, my boss gave it to me a long time ago after she cleaned out her office. she didn't know who she was.
Someone please help with trading card values... i am desperate? i have many trading cards i am trying to sell to make some quick cash, but i am confused as to what the value may be. I have over 1500 baseball, hockey, and some football cards. But i have some very good cards which i think could bring me some money. 1975 topps jean ratelle. 1974 topps john bucyk. mats Sundin rookie card. joe thornton rookie card. sergei fedorov rookie card. 1971 assists leader card featuring bobby orr, jean ratelle, and phil esposito. 1990 gordie howe hall of famer. 1970 john unitas. sammy sosa rookie card. those are just a few that i think are worth a decent amount. i also have mark mcgwire rookie card and other big names like mike schmidt, pete rose, mario lemieux, reggie jackson, tom seaver, bobby orr, jim rice, carlton fisk, johnny bench, dave winfield, thurman munson, hank aaron, george brett, tommy john, patrick roy, and more. all of these cards are in great condition and are not the newer cards that everyone can get. they are old cards from the seventies and 80's. some are even from the 60's. they used to be my fathers. I am not willing to pay for a card value site or book which is why i am asking for help. if i sold all of those big name cards plus my other 1500 cards, what value could i expect to get? please help guys and thanx. sorry this was so long
what year price guide from beckett for value of 1970s football and baseball cards. i have 100s of them.? I was informed to get a price guide from becketts. I went online to purchase one and now realize that there may be a specific one i need for the vintage cards that i have. I thought about getting the online price guide but wasn't too sure about that. I think i need a book to have in front of me because i have 100s of them to actually go through. None of them are graded and i already understand that would be a plus. This is my first attempt and think a price guide would be a good start. I think some of them have a decent value. I didn't want to be complicated and i thought it would be simple to go online and buy a price guide, but was uncertain if a 2007 guide is the one that i need to get the information for the 1970s cards. They are mixed with football and baseball. Hope someone can fill me in as the right thing to do. Thanks
BASEBALL CARDS - Values for Several Sets...? I'm not an Ebay'er and the local book store doesn't carry Becketts and I would like to find the "ballpark" value for each of the following complete sets. My son bought the boxes and immediatly placed them in binders. He's now in college and needs some extra $$ and wants me to sell them in our upcoming yard sale. I'm looking for separate sets values as well as your suggestions for a "One Price Takes All". 86-90 TOPPS TRADED 1986 TOPPS 1987 TOPPS 1988 TOPPS 1988 FLEER 1989 TOPPS 1990 TOPPS 1991 FLEER 1992 UPPER DECK 1993 TOPPS (Series II) 1994 TOPPS 1995 TOPPS (Seies I) 1995 FLEER 1996 TOPPS 1997 MANTLE "Shoebox"
What are Topps baseball cards worth? I have roughly 7,000 baseball cards ranging from (what I've seen) the 80s to the early-90s. I got them randomly and am trying to go through them all and figure out what they're worth. I've looked through a ton of sites but can't seem to find anything with prices besides Ebay which isn't really something concrete to go by. I bought a book, which should soon come in, but I'd like to find something on the web to check out or if possible, the best way to finding out the value of a large amount of cards. Thanks in advance for any help! Thanks, -Liz-
Free online site for....? Does anyone know of a FREE online site where i can look up the book value of baseball cards which is not ebay. i have a large collection of about 6-7 thousand cards ranging from 1955 - current and the books cost $40 and they come out every year so it can become expensive and i dont buy cards any more. Thanks in advance
How is the sports card trading business doing in these current conditions? I only need answers from people who know please. I'm not talking about looking into a magazine or getting cards appraised. What i am asking is how the actual "business" or the need for cards are these days. Do you just put a card up for sale that you have valued from a book and wait to see if there is someone interested? And also, is there an equal interest in different catagory of sports cards? As in football, baseball, basketball. thanks, and again, would only the people who know the facts answer please?
Is there a book that tell price values for Pokemon cards? I live in a hise rise apartment & about a year ago I took my trash to the trash chute & on the floor in trash room someone threw away a binder of cards that had Pokemon cards in it & just put in on my bookshelf with my baseball & football cards.
Are my childhood comic books a good financial investment? I've been reading alot about investing in gold, silver, business ventures, and shares of stock. I know that comic books, like baseball cards, can change (usually increase) in monetary value. I have over 2,000 comic books from my childhood and most are in mint or close to mint condition. Are these comic books a worthy investment?
A mountain of 60's baseball cards - evaluation? Pricing? Hi. I'm hoping someone will make my day saying that I have the possibility of having a gold mine on my hands. My dad collected sports cards religiously in the 60s. I have one of many shoeboxes of cards he owned. I estimate there to be about 400 in this box. Here's the thing - I know nothing about them, really. The best I've got as far as trading card knowledge is an extensive history with Pokémon cards. Yeah, pretty sad. I was wondering how I could value all of them? They're honestly from tons and tons of different sets - probably 65% topps. I'm afraid that a standard value book will not cover them all. I'm just very interested in the values. They're pretty much untouched since about 1974, so they're all in about the condition he first got them. Except for a few that he'd obviously traded for. But still, they don't look 35-40 years old by a long shot. Any ideas to get me started? I'm a broke high school student so I can't really afford professional evaluation. Free sites? Guides?
a question about buying, selling, collecting baseball & football cards.? I have a collection of baseball and football cards. I'm looking for info like: 1. what % of book value could I expect to get from a collector? 2. from someone wanting to re-sell? 3. Any good price guides online that give you the same data as, say, Beckett? The collection I have is mainly Atlanta Brave and Dallas Cowboy cards from the 60's to the mid 90's, some fulls sets, some partial sets, single cards, misc. Since all cards, I assume, came from a pack, there is no such thing as an uncirculated card like there is with coins? So is mint the top grade? followed by excellent, very good, good, average, fair, poor, and then maybe trash?
Where do I grade baseball cards/comics? I have plenty of stuff to sell, signed records, signed books, signed baseball cards, and just signed meorabilia. The problem is that I need to know where you grade/authenticate those? I have noticed that when you try to sell something if it's backed up by a document the value increases, where do I go?
My dad has autographed baseballs, cards and photos. My dad is moving into a senior center. He has collected baseball cards, balls, photos for years. Could someone tell me or give me a rough idea the value of a Ted Williams, autograph ball, a Joe DiMaggio signed Hall of Fame Card and signed 8x10 photo. A Carl Yastremski signed ball and signed card, signed 8x10 photo in uniform, a Larry Bird autographed 8x10 photo in uniform, also a Wayne Gretsky, signed 8x10 photo in uniform.. He has a photo/card book filled with signed cards. I was just wondering the value of some of the above items.

Which of the following 2007 Baseball Hobby Boxes should I ask for, for Christmas? How much is my card collection worth? I know that when selling cards, you get about 20% of the actual book value, but I have about 7000 baseball, hockey, basketball and football cards from the early 90's and probably 90% of them are just commons and all of my doubles / triples etc. (There's nothing special about any of the cards) They're all in mint condition having been in boxes since day one, (some even in original packages). I know that alone they are worthless, but 7000 of them has to be worth something to a collector right? What would be a good selling price? $200? $300? $500? more? I've listed the series I collected below to help get an idea of what I have: Score Hockey 90-91 Pro Set Football 90-91 Upper Deck 91-92 Hockey (French & English Editions) 90-91 McDonalds Upper Deck Complete Set Pro Set Hockey 91-92 1991 OPC Premier Baseball (2 Complete Sets) 1991 Donruss Baseball 90-91 OPC Hockey 1990 Donruss Baseball 1990 Topps Baseball 1990 & 1991 Fleer Baseball Donruss 87 & Fleer 89 Baseball 1991 Topps Baseball 1990 Hoops Basketball 1990-1991 Upper Deck Hockey 1991 Upper Deck Baseball Any insight would be appreciated

Baseball cards appraisal online? My nephews who are in their late twenties gave my son a collection of baseball cards that they had collected when they were younger. They are all in mint condition in a book with plastic sleeves and the others are in a two boxes, also in mint condition. These cards are from the 80's and 90's. My son is 11 years old and is not a sports nut and we would like to sell them to help fund his braces and or space camp or education. We were thinking there must be good places online where we could look up all the cards to find what they should go for. Any suggestions? Is it better to sell them individually or in bunches? Ebay or a collector shop? We don't know much about the value but I want him to get the most he can obviously. I don't want to go into this as we are knowing nothing and get short changed.
